SEPTEMBER 13, 2017
12:30 - 5:15 PM at Islamorada Fire Station 20

Islamorada offers First Aid, CPR and AED training to the community free of charge. In the interactive classes taught by Islamorada Fire Department Personnel, participants learn lifesaving First Aid and CPR skills and how to use an AED device.
The next class will be held at Fire Station 20 (MM 81.9 bayside) on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 12:30-5:00 p.m. Those successfully completing the class will receive ASHI certification.

The free classes are offered to people living or working in Islamorada. Participants must be at least 13 years old and should wear comfortable clothing to practice the techniques that will be learned during the class. Class size is limited so call soon to secure your seat or to have your name added to the list for a future class.

Research shows that heart attack victims have double the chance of survival if they are immediately given CPR. Seventy to eighty percent of cardiac arrest emergencies happen in the home. Be prepared to help your loved ones by taking a CPR class where you will learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies and how to perform CPR in infants, children and adults.

To sign up for this class or to find out about future classes, please contact Debbie Naiser by email to or call 305-664-6490.
This training is open to the public. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, all persons who are disabled and who need special accommodations to participate in this training because of that disability should call 305-664-6448 or email at least 48 hours before the scheduled meeting.
