COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT) TRAINING

TWO FULL-DAY SUNDAY SESSIONS
AUGUST 19th and August 26th 
9:00am to 5:00pm
 
The free training will provide basic first aid, basic generator safety and other survival skills. CERT members will have proper expectations in a disaster and be able to BE PART OF THE SOLUTION AFTER A STORM. 

To be certified, you must:

1.   Sign up as a volunteer with Monroe County    http://www.monroecounty-fl.gov/volunteermonroe
2.   Register for your FEMA Identification Number (FEMA SID) https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register
3.   Complete online IS-317 "Introduction to Community Emergency Response” Prior to start of first session and bring certificate to clas  https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-317
4.   Complete both days of training on August 19 & August 26
5.   Complete “Hands On” Fire Safety Training/First Aid Exercises
