ISLAMORADA FIREFIGHTERS DEPLOYED TO PANHANDLE TO PROVIDE HURRICANE RECOVERY ASSISTANCE

ISLAMORADA FIRE RESCUE PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT DEPLOYED TO PANHANDLE

Islamorada deployed two veteran Fire Rescue personnel and its 3000-gallon Tanker 20 to the Florida panhandle to provide aid in the wake of Hurricane Michael.  Captain Geo Toth and Firefighter/Paramedic Kyle Burkel joined with a crew and tanker from Monroe County to meet two Orange County tankers in Orlando to complete a Strike Team. The team of four tankers and personnel headed to the panhandle on Saturday and will remain deployed to provide aid for seven days.
